The Cormorant ~ A Boutique Hotel - is a complete renovation and rejuvenation in both the interior and exterior*. The design includes a reconfiguration of the top floor suites, a re-energized “grand stair,” and an exterior face-lift with Parasoleil balcony railings and ivory stained brick. Greenwood & Black’s complete rebranding pays homage to cormorants—majestic black sea birds that are visible just steps from the hotel, along with the breathtaking La Jolla bluffs. Added to the scope post-COVID is a rooftop bar and lounge - The Birdseye - which showcases breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, La Jolla Cove, and of course cormorants. The hotel and open-air lounge opens in Spring 2022.
